I am a friendly and enthusiastic qualified teacher and native Spanish speaker living in Falmouth by the sea. I have a higher education qualification in Fine art and am able to tutor Art to A level standard. My teaching style is approachable and focused on visual resources, engaging students to enjoy the learning experience, beginning with an area they can enjoy and slowly introducing more challenging aspects as they relax and adapt.
I have been studying and experimenting with collage and sculpture all of my life, learning new things through art and exploration. As a young boy, I played with clay at my grandfather’s house in the country. I learned that play combined with practice gives life to inanimate objects. That things can be beautiful as well as functional.
Nature is my biggest influence, and I’m passionate about preserving nature and reusing materials wherever I can. I love teaching Art and Sustainability to students, helping them become more resourceful and draw inspiration from everyday life. Alongside teaching and creating sculpture, I believe in reconnecting communities and re-creating connections within neighbourhoods. My community project, The Plant Bank, has been designed to help children appreciate plants and reconnect with their neighbours and nature.
Alongside my art, my two biggest passions are education and the environment, preserving the world to be a better place for us and future generations. Sustainability is at the heart of all of my work. I offer online tuition, and I can also commute within a 25-mile radius from Falmouth for teaching and workshops. I also invite people to visit my studio to see my work or enjoy private tuition and art sessions working one-to-one.
You can view my work online, in various galleries or in person at my workshop and find out more about my courses here. For bespoke commissions, get in touch, and we can have a more personal conversation.
